Micro Spiti / (meaning Little house) is lovely stone built traditional house located in the tranquil valley of Aspros Potamos. The house has been intuitively renovated in Cretan village style with high wooden ceilings, beams, stone floors, freshly white washed walls and arch ways throughout, making it feel airy and spacious.
There is one main bedroom with a traditional stone built double bed and a super comfortable mattress, plus an extra small sleeping area through an arch leading from the living area, with a single stone built bed ideal for a child or extra guest. In the comfortable living area there is also a double sofa bed for additional sleeping if required. The kitchen has a stone sink, lovely wooden work surfaces, table and chairs.
Outside there is a lovely shaded porch with a table and chairs, perfect to watch the world go by with your early morning coffee, and opposite the house is a spacious terrace surrounded by olive trees, and stunning views down to the sea and harbour town of Makrygialos.
Aspros Potamos, translates to White River, is an area of outstanding beauty and stands at the foot of the Pefki gorge. It is a haven for peace and nature lovers, with an abundance of wild flowers in springtime, birds, animals and fabulous walking trails.
Micro Spiti is just 800m from the main road and the resort of Makrygialos, which offers a wide range of amenities, shops, bars, and sandy beaches. The river that runs through the middle of the valley usually has water in it though the months of December to May.
